Series Remote Access Instructions

Remote Access to Series is only supported on the Microsoft Windows platform with either Microsoft Internet Explorer version 5.5 and later, or Netscape Navigator version 6.0 or later.

To gain access to this Application:

            Physicians: Please fill out and submit to your hospital IT Steering Committee for approval:

                                    MD Confidentiality (Word)   form, and a

                                    Request for Remote Access (Word)   form

                                    Once approved, fax to the Stellaris Help/Desk (914-666-1767)

                                    Please make sure you indicate your email address and telephone number on the form.

                                    This is the only way we have of informing you of scheduled downtimes and updates.

            Employees: Please fill out and submit to the hospital IT Steering Committee for approval:

                                    Employee Confidentiality (Word)    form, and a      

                                    Request for Remote Access (Word)   form.

                                   Once approved, fax to the Stellaris Help/Desk (914-666-1767)

Once an account is created, and your hospital has issued a purchase order for the license,  you will receive notification that you can start using the application and you will be given a network ID and password. 

To access Series from the Stellaris Internet site go to http://www.stellarishealth.org/index.htm 

From the index on the left, select “Employees & Physicians Only”.

  Series 2000 Remote Access  Access patient information, read and place orders.

The first time you select this option, a small plug-in will download to your browser.  This will take from under a minute to several minutes, depending on the speed of your connection.   This is a one time event, you will not have this download the next time you sign in.

When you select the application you will be presented with a Network Sign-On Screen.  This screen will either have two or three questions depending on your operating system.

If you are prompted for user id and password only, enter the following:

    UserID: STELLARISHEALTH\(your network userid)

    Password: (your password)

If you are prompted for user id, password and domain, enter the following:

    UserID: (your network user id)

    Password: (your network password)

    Domain: STELLARISHEALTH

You will then be presented with the familiar “Series Sign-On” Screen.  You may have to click on the Connect Button on the upper, left hand corner to initiate the Series login screen.

Please do not forget to log off when you are done.
